An awesome trip

As the author on the book,my family and I did a trip to Guadalajara, México last

year. My father always talked about his old town, and that he never came back, so my

family decided that that summer we were going all together. It was an amazing trip

Guadalajara is locate at the south of México. From there we needed to drive for two

hours to be there on his old town the place were he was born. The name of the place was

Ostotipaquillo. When we were there we visited the house where my father was born, we

learned about different culture, and we discovered how much my father wished to be back.

First of all, when we got in the town my father’s first words were “I want to see my

house”. So we drove through the old path to get there. It was an old home, actually was

no home just four walls, a big room, and a bathroom outside. But for my father, was

similar as a palace. He mentioned that when he was young he used to play outside all

day. From there he could smell the fresh food that his mother made every single

day for all his family.

He also added that summer was his favorite sesson of the year, because he loved the

smell of the humid weather. Every summer they had rain days and all the people were

very happy because the crops grew just perfect.

Moreover, we learn a lot about culture, all people in town knew each other by name. People in
Ostotipaquillo were very kind and polite. People used to walk a lot

they barely have cars, so they were always walking in the streets. When we were walking we

perceived the smell of good food, my father told us that in his town did not exist the frozen

food or the microwaves, that all the food we were eating was just fresh made and the

fruit fresh cut from their crops. Fresh fruit was just delicious, the smell and the taste

was very different from the usual fruit that we buy in stores in United States of America.

Finally, we discovered how much my father wished to be back on his old town. When we

got there my father almost cried , because he was very excited. Every thing he saw was

perfect for him, even though, they did not have much technology he did not care about it. He

forgot about his cell phone, his car, he just enjoyed every second there. His eyes were the entire
time alert to everything.

In conclusion, we have an amazing summer in my father’s town, even though everything

was dissimilar at the way we use to live, we just loved it. The most unforgettable thing

was to see my father’s face when he got back and had the opportunity to be with him as

well as a family. Also, my father always told us that the place where you were born is

remarkable for the rest of our lives. That we need to respect that place where we were

born and never forget our rots, because they are part of our lifes.
